Volga-Dnepr Group and The Boeing Company entered into an agreement for the order of five new long-range Boeing 747-8 cargo aircraft. The first of these new generation freighters will join the ABC fleet in February 2010. Delivery of next four aircraft is expected in 2011-2013. Additionally, Volga-Dnepr placed an option order for the purchase of five more Boeing 747-8F aircraft.
June 2007
Volga-Dnepr Group of Companies and Ilyushin Finance Co. signed a Purchase Agreement with AirBridgeCargo Airlines for the delivery of Tu-204S mid-range freighters under a 15-year financial lease.
August 2007
AirBridgeCargo's first flight crew was sent to Seattle, US, for B747-400ERF training. In total, 10 ABC flight crew members and nearly 60 maintenance staff are trained.
September 2007
AirBridgeCargo commenced scheduled Boeing 747 flights between Moscow- Tokyo-Krasnoyarsk. Within the framework of the new arrangement, АВС also obtained additional frequencies to Narita, Japan for the period of 2008-2010.
November 2007
АВС added the first Boeing 747-400ERF aircraft to its fleet. The aircraft landed at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport as part of its first commercial flight on 20th November.
