АВС received its third B747-400ERF aircraft from The Boeing Company, marking the completion of the first phase of ABC’s fleet renovation program. This saw the retirement of the airline’s first two Boeing 747-200F, the oldest aircraft in the fleet.

During the XII Economic Forum in St. Peterburg, Volga-Dnepr Group and the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region signed a Cooperation Agreement for the establishment of a cargo hub at Krasnoyarsk International Airport and a special port zone as a part of the hub. The agreement was the successful conclusion of a four-year effort by Volga-Dnepr, its partners and the Government of the region. In the near future, Krasnoyarsk Airport, positioned on the crossing of the major global air routes, is set to become a key hub for international air cargo being transported on both Trans-Siberian and Cross-Polar routes. AirBridgeCargo Airlines is to become one а the major operators at the hub.
AirBridgeCargo Airlines received an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from Transport Canada, which would enable АВС to launch scheduled operations to Canada in the near future.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines launched special promotion timed to coincide with the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in August. The campaign produced a 19% increase in import cargo sales to Russia and encouraged 37 new customers to choose to fly their cargo with the airline.
