16.10.2008 | AirBridgeCargo participates at OFS Forum

AirBridgeCargo Airlines, a subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr Group, delivered a speech at the 7th Oilfield Services Market conference looking at trends, opportunities and future prospects for the industry. The international forum was organized by RPI Inc.

AirBridgeCargo speaker, Elena Gorina, Regional Director European Russia and CIS, focused on the benefits of delivering oil & gas equipment by air cargo, based on the airline’s expertise as a leading supplier of fast, reliable and cost efficient logistics solutions to major corporations in the oil and gas industry.

With the support of its sister airline, Volga-Dnepr Airlines – the world’s largest carrier of outsize and heavyweight air cargo – ABC offers secure and timely deliveries of oil and gas equipment, even to the most remote regions with poor transport infrastructure.

Using the unique cargo carrying capabilities of Boeing 747, IL-76TD-90VD and AN-124-100 freighter aircraft and bespoke handling equipment and systems designed by Volga-Dnepr Group, ABC also has the added advantage of operating trans-polar routes, reducing transit times and costs for its customers.

Based in Moscow, ABC is today the preferred air cargo partner for oil and gas corporations working in the remote regions of Siberia and the Russian Far East where airfreight is often the only transportation option. For example, the airline has operated a scheduled IL-76 all-cargo service to Sakhalin Island from Krasnoyarsk since 2005.

ABC is also regularly called upon to deliver shipments for oil and gas customers in Europe, North America and Asia.

As a specialist partner of the energy sector, AirBridgeCargo has safely delivered hundred thousands of tonnes of expensive and sophisticated oil and gas exploration equipment all over the world. The airline has also earned a global reputation for the expertise of its ground handling professionals
