15.09.2010 | PARIS BECOMES SEVENTH EUROPEAN CITY IN AIRBRIDGECARGO’S NETWORK

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), the scheduled cargo business of Volga-Dnepr Group, has launched a twice-weekly all-cargo service to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

The new Boeing 747 route will link with both Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo Airports in Moscow.

Paris becomes the seventh European city in ABC’s growing networking, reinforcing its position as Russia’s largest international scheduled cargo airline. This continued route expansion supports Volga-Dnepr Group’s network development strategy and follows the arrival of the tenth Boeing 747 to ABC’s modern fleet.

“France remains one of Russia’s most important trading partners. It is noteworthy that AirBridgeCargo Airlines has entered French market during the ‘Year of France in Russia and Russia in France’, a campaign that is equally important for both countries. We are proud to be offering the first ever freighter connection between our two countries
And we like to thank all parties involved to make this project happen. ” said Tatyana Arslanova, Executive President of AirBridgeCargo.

The inaugural flight was greeted with a traditional ‘airplane shower’ and included meetings with local partners and customers in Paris and an evening reception to celebrate the new route.

AirBridgeCargo’s European network also includes Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Malmo, Zaragoza and Milan. The Paris-Moscow flight will provide a convenient link for the transportation of fashion and apparel products and pharmaceutical goods to Russia. Additionally, it will enable customers in France to access the vibrant China market and ABC’s other destinations in Asia via its hub at Moscow Sheremetyevo.

AirBridgeCargo is represented in France by its GSSA partner, Airnautiс.
