08.02.2010 | AIRBRIDGECARGO ATTENDS THE FIRST BOEING 747-8 FLIGHT.

Long awaiting Boeing 747-8 freighter successfully took to the sky on the 8th of February before more than 5,000 employees, customers, suppliers and community leaders. This is truly a milestone not only for Boeing Corporation but for the whole air industry.

The 747-8 Freighter is the new, high-capacity 747 that will give cargo operators the lowest operating costs and best economics of any freighter. The airplane is 250 feet, 2 inches (76.3 m) long, which is 18 feet, 4 inches (5.6 m) longer than the 747-400 Freighter.


Being one of the customers with firm order for 5 planes AirBridgeCargo was represented in Everett by Mrs. Tatyana Arslanova, Executive president AirBridgeCargo, and Mr. Konstantin Vekchine, Deputy Commercial Director, VD UAC. Together with other representatives from the air cargo community they eye witnessed the first four-hour flight of the newest Boeing 747 freighter.
